Real talk, as a Filipina who is also a morena, I have dark circles around my eyes and so it has become a staple for me to use concealer even on days that does not call for a full make up session.
I noticed that when I used concealer it would tend to crease in between certain lines under my eyes, I would end up having to blend it with my fingers which eventually causes it to come off by the end of the day.
I literally tried hundreds of concealers and I would have the same result, even if I set it with powder underneath. But through trial and error, I have found several products that I can swear by. One of which is SANA Pore Putty BB Melty Bar from Japan. Another one is from Urban Decay, called Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. Unfortunately these products are not available in the Philippines except through online sites, which I don’t fully trust. Another great brand is Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer by Benefit. This particular make up is great for dry skin. And lucky for us makeup junkies, Benefit is located in almost all major malls in the country.
For a more professional finish, Benefit introduces the Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer. It is a soft focus airbrush concealer that comes in three shades, 1 (light), 2 (medium), and 3 (deep). It’s waterproof which makes it perfect for hot or rainy days,. The 10-hour long wear guarantees a fresh look from morning until night. Because of the airbrush factor, it promises not to crack, cake or crease. It is virtually undetectable on skin to give off that natural look we all want. The whipped mousey consistency hides redness, discoloration and unwanted marks. With the Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer, there is no need to use foundation thus giving us more time to focus on our eyebrows! Yey!
Another wonderful thing about Benefit make up? Not only are they great for my skin, the prices are also friendly to a college student like me.
