From May 13 to 19, Nike took over our favorite streetwear store, Commonwealth, to bring to us the Nike SNKRS Studio - the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. A pop up concept designed to showcase Nike’s latest release and to further popularize sneaker culture among women.
As a big fan of the swoosh myself, I was in shoe heaven! On show was Nike’s latest silhouette – the Air Presto Ultra Flyknit with other iconic designs such as the Air Max Thea and Air Force Ones featured alongside, whilst Nix Damn P and Kat DJ kept the vibe moving from behind the decks. The Nike SNKRS Studio also offered free lace dubrae customization with every sneaker purchase, as well as cleaning services for your favorite pair, with all sneaker-care products available for purchase.
Upon leaving the store I was intrigued by the detail that appeared on the feature wall. Thousands of female names, which I later learned belonged to all the participants of the NRC Women’s Half Marathon that took place on the 15th of May in Cavitex. Hats (and sneakers) off to all you ladies and to the Commonwealth team for yet another successful event!
