Hello, December... it’s my favourite time of the year once again! The month of festivities, dinner parties and guilt-free eating. How wonderful... Except for the part about last-minute Christmas shopping, the non-stop hosting and attending social gatherings, and the crazy workload that just falls on your lap out of the blue! It’s no wonder it is known as the ‘craziest time of the year’. I’m not sure you feel the same way, but there just never seems to be enough hours in a day in December. But it’s all worth it in the end, because after all, it is also known as the 'most wonderful time of the year'. It's the time to be thankful for all the blessings in your life, and share the love and joy with family and friends.
I am still learning how to manage my time better in December. It’s a work in progress that I feel will take a few more trials before it’s perfected! I’ve learned that you need to plan ahead of time. WAY ahead of time, if possible, so you don’t scramble and run all your errands last minute. One thing to brainstorm for before December arrives is the decor and mood you want to set in your home this holiday season. Whether you plan on hosting parties or not, Christmas is always better spent when you feel and celebrate the Christmas spirit in your home.
Here are some fun and creative ideas to make your home feel festive this season!
